The relationship between Cuba and the US has been very rocky for the last fifty years, so the information presented, layout of the article, and ideas presented I found were all very logical and enjoyable to read. The author states that the first steps towards full-fledged diplomatic relations is to be more accommodating to one’s ambassadors, and moving from there. This whole process is essentially a start from scratch, so immediate results should not be expected. The author does a good job of laying out the ideal stepping stones for this process. The goal is to have established embassies in each countries capitals and to work together to achieve common goals (the given examples being disease monitoring and law enforcement cooperation).
