An Argentine court has upheld a judge’s decision to drop the case against Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner. In February Federal Judge Daniel Rafecas said that there was ‘No evidence’ after examining the 350 page report that had been prepared by special prosecutor Alberto Nisman. Nisman was found dead in mid January with a bullet wound to his head with a pistol found near by. Earlier in March the family of Nisman said that an independent tests found that he was murdered. At the time of Nisman’s funeral, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner tried to steal sympathy, but the attempt backfired leading to more public criticism. Nisman had been investigating the bombing of an Argentine Israelite Mutual Association (AMIA) cultural center in the Argentine capital in 1994.
