Jewish Chilean leaves TV

I love this story.  The story of a man who has been on a famous talk show for 53 years.  He retires.  Just like any normal television host. But his story is so cool.  He is Jewish.  A jew born in Chile by German Jewish refugees fleeing the Nazi persecution.  How amazing.  In the article he discusses his Jewish life in Chile along with how he got into TV.  Premiering in 1962, he has had over 10 million viewers at any given time.  Unless someone is just interested in Chilean or South American history, not many understand that Jews did flee to South America during the Nazi reign.  It is just pretty amazing to see that legacy still.  Now he is retiring, but his story is an inspiration.
