Bolivia crash: Bus plunges into ravine killing 25

25 people died and another 24 were injured in a bus crash in Western Bolivia after the bus crashed with another vehicle, causing it to fall into a ravine 656 ft deep. The accident happened in the mountainous province of Coroico. The bus was in route from the capital of La Paz to the town of Rurrenabaque. It was reported that the bus was trying to pass a truck, but hit another vehicle in the process. Roads in Bolivia are extremely unsafe — it is estimated that at least 1,000 people die every year due to the road’s poor conditions, and injuring another 40,000.

Earlier there year in January, there was a crash involving two buses that resulted in the death of 22 people and another crash in February where a bus crashed with a truck killing 24 people.
