An advertisement highlighting the racial and sexual diversity of Brazil has ceased to be broadcast by the public bank Banco do Brasil at the request of far-right president Jair Bolsonaro, confirmed Friday the bank, which dismissed his director of marketing.
On the advertisement, we can see young people – black and white – some of them tattooed and with discolored hair, take “selfies” with their cell phone, under a background of catchy music, with an off-screen voice explaining how to open a account through an online application.
